Edmund Barton

Edmund Barton was the first prime minister of Australia and also worked as a barrister.  His real name was Toby but he was known as Edmund. Barton was born in Glebe, Sydney in 1849. His birthday is on 18th January. Edmund Barton is most famous for being the very first prime minister of Australia. He went to University in Sydney and was great in their cricket team. Barton died on 7th January 1920 in the Hydro Majestic Hotel. Edmund Barton should be remembered because he was a very good prime minister and a great leader.

Julia Gillard was the first female Prime Minster of Australia. Julia was born in 1961 September 29th, Barry Wales in the United Kingdom. When Julia was five her family moved to Adelaide where she lives now. One of Julia’s hobbies is knitting. Julia Gillard was at the Labor Party and Kevin Rudd was the Prime Minster but all of the people that went there wanted Julia Gillard to be Prime Minster at the Election Day everyone voted for her and she got to be Prime Minster of Australia for a longer time.

Sir Edmund Barton

Sir Edmund Barton was the first Prime minister of Australia. Edmund was born in Glebe, Sydney on the 18th of January 1849. As well as being the first Prime minister of Australia, he was also a judge and a barrister. Edmund was a founding Justice of the High Courts of Australia. He was in charge of Australia’s commonwealth.

Julia Gillard was the prime minister in 2010 – 2013. She was a member of the Labor Party. Julia Gillard was born in the United Kingdom on the 29th September 1961. Julia Gillard was the first female prime minister of Australia. She was also the first female to host a Labor Party. One of the contributions of Julia Gillard as the Prime Minister of Australia was in November 2011, the Gillard government’s Clean Energy bills were passed by the Senate.

Julia Gillard

Julia Gillard was Prime Minister of Australia from 2010-2013. She was born on 29th September 1961, in Barry, Wales. In 1966 (when she was five) Julia moved to Adelaide, South Australia. She was elected the first female Prime Minister of Australia. Before she became Prime Minister of Australia she was a Deputy Prime Minister for three years in Kevin Rudd’s Labour government and in the 2010 Australian Labour Party leadership spill Kevin Rudd was challenged by Julia to be Prime Minister of Australia and won. She was Prime Minister before she was elected then she was elected as Prime Minister. Julia Gillard should be remembered because she was the first female Prime Minister of Australia.

He died on 7 January in New South Whales. In Hydro Majestic Hotel in 1920. He was a very caring person I think if I was there I would be happy if he was the Prime Minister.

Julia Eileen Gillard information

Julia Eileen Gillard was the 27th Prime Minister of Australia.  Gillard   was born in Barry Wales on the 29th September was her birthday in 1961 she was so special because she was the first female Prime Minister.  Mrs Gillard had a sister called Alison Gillard. She is a very good girl when she was little.

Mary MacKillop

Mary Helen MacKillop now formally known as St Mary of the Cross MacKillop was a nun. (and became a saint on 17th October 2010) Mary MacKillop was born on January 15th 1842 in Fitzory, Melbourne. She established schools, convents and charitable institution, and the foundress of the Sacred Heart in Westmead. Mary loved and believed in God with all her heart. Mary is a wonderful person who loves to educate children and deserves to be prayed for every day.
